I think this is a beautiful achievement some really excellent work. Your feelings are truely expressed in this piece. Good work. But with an unfortunate meaning.

the crimson red feels more like blood than anything, which carries good expression about the overall feeling. the cross does no good though- there are too many symbolic meanings associated with death in it, it overpowers what you are trying to say. its better placed in the heart than on its own. i have not properly read paradise lost, so i am not sure what its meaning is next to the crying (the birth of) venus. looks like she is looking both at 'paradise lost' and the 'i miss you' at the same time.. which has got a good effect. good work with the layering effects.. there is a lot going on in this image

The crimson is a photo I took of fallen petals, the piece IS too chaotic indeed, but that was/is the mood I'm in ....
The cross I wasn't sure about either ... but the associations with dead are intentional, just like the syringe it has the same sort of feeling of doom over it.
The Paradise Lost text where Venus is crying her tears of blood over stands for the lost love. ... (were is the broken heart icon if you need one ?)

It is one of your best pieces ever. I don't understand why you submit so many pieces to wallpaper gallery. THis piece especially is so much more than that, it's art that is too close to you for a bunch of strangers to be using as their desktop. It should be in Indy Art. It is filled with symbolism and passion. It is a great collage piece. Your colors really reveal your suffering.
